Terms & Conditions

1) Scope

These Terms & Conditions govern the voluntary use of the browser game "Kingdoms Trial" (the "Game") provided free of charge by Kalemodo UG ("Provider"). They apply to all non‑commercial users. Business use is excluded.

2) Description of the Game

The Game is an experimental, early phase strategy / decision browser game that runs entirely in your browser. Core functionality (progress, state) is stored locally. No user account, leaderboard or server‑side player profile is currently created.

3) Availability

The Game is provided on an as‑is and as‑available basis. We may modify, restrict or discontinue parts or all of the Game at any time without prior notice for technical, legal or business reasons.

4) Support Payments (via Stripe)

We may offer purely voluntary support payments processed by our payment partner Stripe. Such payments are optional, confer no gameplay advantages and do not change the non‑commercial nature of the Game. Prices and currency are shown during checkout; processing and receipts are provided by Stripe subject to their terms. If any issue occurs with a payment, please contact us at kingdomstrial@kalemodo.com. These payments are not required to play the Game.

5) Intellectual Property

All game content (code, text, graphics, design) is protected by copyright or other IP rights. You receive a simple, non‑transferable right to use the Game in your own browser for private entertainment purposes. Reverse engineering (except where legally mandatory) and automated data extraction are prohibited.

6) User Conduct

You must not misuse the Game, attempt to circumvent security, inject malicious code, overload infrastructure, or exploit bugs for unfair advantage. If a bug is discovered that could impact stability or fairness, you are encouraged to report it.

7) Warranty / Liability

The Game is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error‑free content. Liability for free services is limited to intent and gross negligence. Mandatory statutory liability (e.g. under product liability law) remains unaffected.

8) Data Protection

Data processing is outlined separately in the Privacy Policy. By using the Game you acknowledge you have taken note of that policy.

9) Changes to these Terms

We may adjust these Terms to reflect legal, technical or gameplay changes. The currently valid version is published on this page. Continued use after changes takes effect constitutes acceptance.

10) Governing Law

German law applies, excluding the conflict of laws provisions and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer with habitual residence in the EU, mandatory protective provisions of your state of residence remain applicable.

11) Severability

Should individual provisions be or become invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force. A valid provision closest to the economic intent shall replace the invalid one.
